Instructions:
1. Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
- Grease and line a 7-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
2. Sift the Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream Butter & Sugar
- Beat butter and sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
4. Add Eggs & Vanilla
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
5. Alternate Wet & Dry
- Add the dry ingredients in three parts, alternating with milk + vinegar, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
- Gently fold the batter—don’t overmix!
6. Bake to Perfection
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
